General luncheon in review:

It was wonderful to see all of you in attendance Tuesday at the Family Dinner Steakhouse.

We announced new member Rhodes Ranch and heard a presentation by Maria Bancroft of Meramec Regional Planning Commission – more specifically, Meramec Regional Development Corporation.

Maria shared about small business financing opportunities (partnering with our local banks) and distributed pamphlets describing the many services available. She left several of those pamphlets with us so if you are interested you can pick one up at the chamber office. Or for more information, contact Maria directly at 573-265-2993, ext. 114.

She made mention that the Planning Commission would especially like to contribute to business growth in Washington County, so if you have a growth idea in mind, be sure to get in touch with her.

Member announcements included:

Chris Sisk of CS Design mentioning a new website evaluation tool he is developing. It will help you discern whether your site is top notch or in need of some fine tuning. If you would like to be among the first to test it out, get in touch with him by calling 800-410-1768 or emailing chris@csdesign.online.

Janey Radford of Belgrade State Bank, pointed out that October 12 is quickly approaching and will be a day full of visitors to our county due to the Pumpkin Festival in Caledonia, Potosi Cross-Country Invitational at the City Park, and Bi-State Marching Band Festival held at Potosi’s football field. Then, representing Potosi Band Boosters, she added that there is a marching band parade at 9am down High St and invited business owners to be aware and consider opening early for visiting band families to shop before and after the parade.
